The Urban Nature Forum, bringing together representatives from cities, business, research and civil society, took place in Tampere, Tampere Hall, on 11 September 2024.

Declaration of the cities
At the Nature Forum, the leaders of the 10 largest cities signed a historic declaration to halt the loss of nature and strengthen biodiversity. The city leaders pledged to work together to strengthen biodiversity through concrete and measurable actions and to set an example for other cities.
The event will be opened by Minister of Environment and Climate Kai Mykkänen.
During the day at the Urban Nature Forum You will
- hear from pioneers in urban nature work and other topical and interesting speakers
- be inspired to reflect on your own role in halting the loss of nature
- network and discuss with other inspiring participants.
