The survey asks residents for their views on the current situation and versatility of housing options in the Kaukajärvi and Annala districts. The survey also allows residents to express their wishes regarding the development of things like safety, comfort and participation.
– We hope that as many residents as possible will fill the survey and become interested in developing their local environment, says Project Manager Henna Kuitunen, who is responsible for the implementation of the neighbourhood programme.
The survey will be followed up with a resident event in April–May and with workshops for stakeholders. Guidelines for the development of Kaukajärvi and Annala will then be made based on these.
– Equality between residential areas, securing services and increasing safety and comfort are of upmost importance in the development of urban districts. Peltolammi and Multisilta were specifically developed during the Ministry of the Environment's Suburban Programme in 2020–2022. Now Tampere is continuing its long-term investment in people and urban areas, and the focus has turned towards Kaukajärvi and Annala, says Deputy Mayor Pekka Salmi.

The neighbourhood programme for Kaukajärvi and Annala will be implemented in 2023–2025.
