Winter holiday week sports events for families in Ikuri and swimming pools
Family Exercise Winter Fun & National Skiing Day Winter sports -event is a free event for the whole family at Ikurin Virelä on Saturday 24 February from 12 noon to 3 pm.
The whole family is welcome to practice basic skiing skills under the guidance of instructors from Tampereen Taivaltajat. Among other things, we will teach the basics of skiing to the younger members of the family, just like the Moomin ski school, as well as fun exercises for children aged 2–10 and for the whole family. Small groups are organized on the hour and half hour. Warm-up and waiting activities include snowshoeing and games. Prizes for participants.
The professionals of the Vire ski club will lubricate skis and give tips on lubricating skis. Bring your own skis!
There is a café on site. Ikurin Virelä is located at Tuohikorventie 27 B.
The event is organized by Tampere City Family exercise, Tampereen Taivaltajat and Ikurin Vire.
Swimming pool fun
Welcome to a family-friendly swim! The program of the winter holiday week includes guided activities, games, ball games, practicing water skills, trying out equipment, task assignments and a nice time together. There will be small prizes for vigorous swimmers for completed exercises. There is an entrance fee to the swimming halls for the events.
