Nysse services at Christmas, New Year and Epiphany

The festive season will entail changes to the timetables and routes of the Nysse service.

School bus lines 37, 39, 44, 46, 47, 48A, 48B, 48C, 48D, 49, 77, 78 and 86 will not operate during the Christmas season. Additional school day services on lines 12, 67, 70 and 85 will also be suspended.

Christmas, December 24-26, 2024

All lines will operate on Sunday schedules until approximately 4pm. However, line 95KUTSU will not operate.

Christmas Eve, Tuesday 24.12.2024

Some lines will continue to operate till the evening as follows:

  • Buses 2, 3, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 50 and 60 will operate on Sunday schedules until around 8 pm.
  • Buses 4, 40, 70 and 80Y will run on special schedules from 4pm to 8pm on the following routes:
    • Line 4 Länsi-Hervanta - Keskustori
    • Line 40 Kangasala (city centre) - Tampere
    • Line 70 Nokia (railway station) - Tampere
    • Bus 80Y Kauraslampi - Ylöjärvi - Vuorentausta - Tampere.

Christmas Day, Wednesday 25 December 2024

Buses 2-10, 40, 50, 60, 70 and 80Y will operate with special schedules from 11 am to 7 pm.

Boxing Day, Thursday 26 December 2024

Sunday timetables will be used.

New Year December 31, 2024 – January 1, 2025

On New Year's Eve, Tuesday 31 December 2024, services will be operated according to Friday timetables. This means that lines 2-10, 40, 50, 60, 70 and 80Y will have more late evening and night services compared to normal weekday evenings.

On New Year's Day, Wednesday 1 January 2025, Sunday timetables will be used.

Epiphany January 6, 2025

On Boxing Day, Monday 6 January 2025, Sunday timetables will be used.

The autumn season will end. The spring season starts on Tuesday 7 January 2025, when the tram will start operating to Lentävänniemi. There will also be changes to the bus lines. The main changes will take place in the Lielahti-Lentävänniemi and Ylöjärvi areas to the west.
