Cultural companions and Kaikukortti Card
In addition to cultural sites, you can ask a companion to join you for physical activities. A companion is primarily a cultural or exercise companion and does not replace a museum guide, fitness instructor, or personal assistant. Any adult resident of Tampere who can function and move independently or with their personal assistant can request a companion. The companion service, which has just celebrated its tenth anniversary in Tampere, continues to receive praise from both companions and those they accompany.
With a companion, you can access exhibitions for free at Museo Milavida, the Moomin Museum, the Sara Hildén Art Museum, the Tampere Art Museum, the Workers' Museum Werstas, the Police Museum, the Amuri Museum of Historical Housing, and Museum Centre Vapriikki, as well as performances by Dance Theatre MD. You can also attend Tampere Philharmonic concerts at a very low cost with a companion.
The Kaikukortti card is intended for individuals and families in tight financial situations. With the Kaikukortti card, you can obtain free tickets to museums, theaters, festivals, or concerts. The Kaikukortti card is personal and free of charge. The Kaikukortti network operates nationwide, and in Tampere, the activity continues for the fifth year.
