Visiting schools and early childhood education and care centres in Tampere

Schools and early childhood education and care (ECEC) centres mainly welcome visitors between September and November, as well as between January and April. August is dedicated to starting the new academic year, while December and May have a lot of exams and other end of term special activities. In June and July, all schools and pre-primary education units are closed and only a small selection of ECEC centres are open. Visits are not possible in evenings or during holiday times.

Bookings must be made well in advance (at least a month before the visit). For each visit, it is decided on a case-by-case basis whether the school or ECEC centre can receive visitors at the requested time.

The visits are for teacher trainees, teachers, principals, administrators and other education professionals only. Unfortunately, we cannot organise any visits for children/students at the moment. Visits are subject to a fee in most cases. You can see the fees and fee exceptions in the price lists below.

Please note that we do not coordinate Erasmus+  partner searches, traineeships, or visits. If you are interested in job shadowing or a partnership with a school, you can search for a suitable partner for example on the European School Education Platform, via the Finnish National Agency for Education, or contact the school you're interested in directly.
