You can only use the Lielahti library during self-service hours if you are registered as a self-service library customer. Read more and register: Self-service libraries
The return box is open during the opening hours of the LIKE shopping centre when the library is closed. Items left to the return box will be processed as returned on the next opening day.
Visiting with dogs: short visits with a well-behaved dog are allowed. The owner must ensure that the dog does not have contact with other customers.

The route to the main entrance

The 5 accessible parking spaces are located outdoors over 10 m from the entrance. The width of the parking spaces is at least 3.6 m.
The pick-up and drop-off area is located in the vicinity of the entrance, giving easy access to the pavement.

For moving around, there is a lift, which can hold a wheelchair; the door opens automatically. The floor numbers in the lift can be felt with fingers. (The minimum dimensions for an accessible lift are width 1.1 m and depth 1.4 m.)

The Lielahti Library is located on the top floor of the Lielahtikeskus shopping centre. The library has a wide selection of books and magazines, as well as a large music section. In addition, there is a multi-channel music listening room, a separate game room, and a cozy children’s area. For working, there are workstations, quiet seating areas, and a separate room for those who want to work in complete peace and quiet. During the summer, you can come read or spend time on the big, comfortable outdoor patio.

You have access to the open wireless network SeutuOpen inside the library and on the patio. You can use the library's e-services on the SeutuOpen network also on your own device.

You can reserve meeting rooms and exhibition space at the Lielahti Library.

Self-service library open on weekends

You can also use the Lielahti Library on a self-service basis on weekends. Self-service hours are Saturdays from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. and Sundays from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. During self-service hours, the library doors can be opened with a PIKI library card and its PIN code.

There are no staff at the library during self-service hours. During self-service hours, you can pick up reservations, borrow and return items using the self-service machines, use a computer, read magazines, and even work or hold meetings in the library.

You can only use the Lielahti library during self-service hours if you are registered as a self-service library customer. With a single registration, you can use all of Tampere’s self-service libraries.
