The aim of the library's digital support is to help customers take steps towards safe and independent use of devices and services. Digital support is support for everyday digital problems, not ready-made answers. In problematic situations, digital support can help the customer to resolve the situation themselves.
We offer support at our own skill level as active users of information technology. You are always responsible for the use and management of your device, both during and after digital support. There is no possibility to use the digital library on behalf of another user. Library digital support is free of charge.
At the library's customer service desks during service hours, we offer support for using the library's own services, printing, saving files on the library's computers and logging in to services within the skill level of the customer service staff and the time available.
We offer open digital support in Hervanta, Koilliskeskus, Lielahti and Sampola libraries and in Main library Metso. You can come to the open digital support without an appointment if you have questions or challenges, for example, about how to do business, use a computer or a smart device .One person works in the open digital support at a time. In a queue situation, the guidance time is about 15 minutes per customer.
Bookable guided tutorials are offered in Hervanta, Koilliskeskus, Lielahti and Sampola libraries, as well as in Metso Main Library. Guidance can be booked for situations such as challenges with basic access to services, computers or smart devices, when the open digital support service cannot cover the need for support.
An appointment is always booked through the open digital support or by calling the service number. The staff will assess the need for guidance. The guided tutorial lasts approximately one hour.
