International Tampere Skills Centre (also known as OSKE) provides multibranch services for all the non-Finnish speaking job seekers living in Tampere and immigrants living in the Pirkanmaa region, who are still on their integration period. International Skills Centre provides personal guidance regarding education and job seeking. The main goal of the International Tampere Skills Center is to enhance the education and employment paths of immigrants and availability of workforce in the Pirkanmaa region.

How to become a customer of the Skills Centre

International Tampere Skills Centre provides services for non-Finnish-speaking people living in Tampere with a residence permit, and who are looking for a job or education. We also provide services for job seeking customers, who are still on their integration period in the Pirkanmaa region. You can become a customer, if you need to refine your skillset in order to get a job or if you need help in developing your readiness for worklife or studying. 

A personal OMA coach is addressed to each customer. The OMA coach evaluates the customer's need for different services and supports them during the customership. 

International Tampere Skills Center is run in co-operation with the City of Tampere Growth and Employment Services and Tampere Vocational College Tredu. Our most important partners are educational organisations in the area, International House Tampere, Multilingual info Mainio, City of Tampere social services, Te-services of the Pirkanmaa region, KELA, third sector organisations, project partners and cities and municipalities of the Pirkanmaa region.

Tampere Region Employment Area

Public employment and economic development services (TE services) will be transferred to municipalities as of 1 January 2025. The purpose of the reform is to bring TE services closer to residents and businesses with the aim of facilitating and speeding up the employment of job seekers and assisting businesses in finding employees. Clients do not need to worry about the continuity of the services during the reform.

Monday, 23.12. Our office, INFO, and phone service are open until 12 PM.

Tuesday, 24.12. - Thursday, 26.12. CLOSED

Friday, 27.12. Our office, INFO, and phone service are open as usual.

Monday and Tuesday, 30.12. - 31.12. Our office, INFO, phone service, and national phone service are CLOSED. You can submit documents between 30.12.2024 and 31.12.2024 to Tullikatu 6, 4th floor. Open from 9 AM to 4 PM. You can use the online service at tyomarkkinatori.fi. We will resume normal service on Thursday, 2.1.2025.
