Athletics fields
The athletics fields are available for public use free of charge if there are no bookings for competitions or other events. Contact the Sports Services’ customer service to get more information and ask about free slots. You can also find up-to-date information on the booking status of the fields in the Timmi facilities booking system.
Tampere Stadium is an athletics and football stadium that meets international standards, where, for example, Finland-Sweden Athletics International competitions have been organised and the Finland national football team Huuhkajat has played football matches. The stadium also hosts major music events. Inside the stadium, four gyms, an artistic gymnastics hall, a wrestling hall, a ballet hall and a a fitness centre can be booked. The gyms are best suited for various gymnastics and group exercise classes, they are too small for ball sports. The customer service of the City of Tampere's Sports Services is also available inside the stadium.
Hervanta athletics field
The turf of Hervanta athletics field is only used for league matches, the other parts are in free use when there are no games.
Pyynikki athletics field
The size of the Pyynikki athletics field is 98 x 60 m. In winter, a skating rink is frozen on the field.
Lamminpää athletics field
There is also an artificial turf field near the Lamminpää athletics field.
Vehmainen athletics field
Vehmainen athletics field has a six-lane track of 350 metres. A beach volleyball court at the back of the artificial turf pitch.
Sports Services’ facility reservations and customer service
The customer and sports facility reservation service of the City of Tampere's Sports Services, where customers can, for example, book training shifts at sites managed by the Sports Services or inquire about general matters related to sports facilities.
