Ice stadiums

Tampere has ice rinks for clubs and public skating.
The head coaches of clubs allocate the evening slots in Tampere Ice Stadium and Tampere training ice stadium. Individuals cannot make bookings for the ice stadiums.
Tampere Ice Stadium
Tampere Ice Stadium – also known as Hakametsä Stadium – was the first ice stadium in Finland. It was built for the Ice Hockey World Championships in 1965. The stadium also hosted Ice Hockey World Championships in 1982, 1991, 1997 and 2003 and Women's World Championships in 1992.
The capasity of the stadium is 7 300 seats. Depending on the length of the season, the ice in the stadium is maintained from late July till April or May. The stadium also serves as a venue for various competitions, fairs, concerts and other major public events.

Tampere training ice hall
Tampere training ice hall is located at the same address as the Tampere Ice Stadium and is used especially by figure skaters and juniors. It is also used by skaters from educational institutions and is one of the training facilities of the Tampere Sports Academy. The stands have seats for 350 spectators.
Reservations can be made at the Sports Services’ facility reservations and customer service.
Hakametsä 3
Hakametsä training ice hall 3 is located at the same address as the Tampere Ice Stadium.
Bookings for Hakametsä training ice hall 3 and Tesoma ice hall 2 are allocated by Sentteri Tampere Oy. Click on the link below to browse the current training schedules.

Hervanta Ice Stadium was completed in 1984 in connection with the civil defence shelter of Hervanta. At the depth of forty metres, two ice hockey rinks can be found, which are used by juniors players, figure skaters, schools, day-care centres and companies alike. Hervanta Ice Stadium has a café but no stands.
Free skating slots for the public are available in Hervanta Ice Stadium and Tesoma Ice Stadium in the autumn and spring season. These slots are mainly available from mid-August until the end of March. Ice hockey sticks may not be used during the public skating slots unless otherwise stated.

Tesoma Ice Stadium
Free public skating is available in the autumn and spring seasons at the Hervanta and Tesoma Ice Stadiums. As a rule, public skating is available from mid-August to the end of March. Public skating shifts are always for skaters without sticks unless otherwise stated.
