The City Council is the highest decision-making body of the City of Tampere. The council usually meets once a month to make decisions on significant current issues. Since April 2023, the council meetings have been held at Tampere Hall due to the renovation of the City Hall.

The meeting agenda is published 11 days before the meeting. You can find it in Finnish in esityslista- ja pöytäkirjahaku (the agenda and minutes search). The verified minutes of the meeting will be made available in the same place on the Tuesday following the meeting.

Follow the meeting and discuss

City Council meetings are public. You can follow the meeting in the gallery of the Tampere Hall lobby or by watching the live broadcast on the Tampere Channel webpage. The broadcast starts 10–15 minutes before the meeting begins.

There is a comment section accompanying the live webcast where you can converse with other viewers. Comments can be sent via an online form or by text message. 

The video recording of the meeting will be published on the Tampere Channel webpage within two working days after the meeting.
