What is your background in international business?

I have actively travelled around the world for over twenty years selling laser technology for cancer treatments (Modulight Oy) and cell phones (Nokia Oyj) in over seventy countries, alongside other things. I became acquainted with the high streets in London and New York and the provinces of China, as well as markets in Pakistan, Nigeria and countless other places.

Why is Tampere a great place for business, also for international business?

Tampere has a great city centre that is easily accessible by car and high-speed public transport, with many talented and friendly people, and a warm vibe.

Why would you encourage on investing, or founding a company, in Tampere?

Tampere region has a good network of subcontractors for different kinds of businesses and high-quality schools and university.

What are the main things you wish to promote as a Tampere Business Ambassador?

I want to make Tampere’s companies more well-known globally and create more cooperation between companies in order to increase exports, so that larger collections could be exported collaboratively by several companies.

How would you describe Tampere as a city, what makes it unique?

It’s got a great city centre, quality culture and good transport connections.
