Apply for the project grant for community activities!

The grant supports activities carried out by associations, communities, and residents in Tampere. The project grant is intended for various community-building activities that are open to everyone.

The application opens on the 7th of January 2025 and will be ongoing throughout 2025 as long as funds are available. You can apply via application form. Please carefully review the application instructions below.

Grant for Resident Activities

The project grant for community activities is awarded across Tampere for residents' and communities' self-initiated, one-time or project-based activities, or for starting regular activities. The aim of the grant is to support community-building, the development of communities, resident well-being and collaborative efforts, equality, and sustainable lifestyles.

The project grant for community activities is a new funding opportunity designed for small-scale resident activities, introduced as a pilot in 2025. The maximum grant amount is €2,000.

The funding can be used for activities and events that bring Tampere residents together, enhance communities’ capacity to work for the benefit of residents, improve the city’s livability and residents’ well-being, promote resource- and energy-efficient lifestyles, and foster equitable integration into the community or neighborhood. Activities must be open to all but can also target specific groups.

Please carefully review the grant criteria and reporting guidelines below. Also, familiarize yourself with the city’s general principles for grants and funding.

The application period for project grants is continuous. Applications must be submitted at least 14 days before the activity takes place. The earlier you submit your application, the better. Normally, applications are processed monthly, covering applications received in the previous month. During holiday periods, processing may take longer. The grant should primarily be applied for using the online application form.
