Technical creativity refers to an original and new solution in the practical application of technology. The winning solution should have commercial potential or may have already achieved commercial success. The purpose of the award is not to support scientific work.
You can nominate a Tampere-based person or working group but not a company. You can also put yourself forward as a candidate. The winner is selected by the Technical Creativity Award Committee. In its assessment, the committee will consider the commercial success and/or future commercial potential of the proposed innovations.
The prize is EUR 5,000, and it will be presented in connection with the Tampere Smart City Week 2023 event.
Nominations are made using the attached online form (link). The innovation should be described in as much detail as possible and in common terms so that its purpose is clear. It is recommended that illustrative materials, such as videos, photos, brochures and links, be attached to the application form.
The application form and instructions are available in both Finnish and English.
