Manse Pride week will be celebrated with many events
During the Manse Pride week, the City of Tampere Youth Services, libraries, museums and the Urban Culture Unit will organise a wide range of activities around Tampere. A host of other operators will be contributing to the event week as well.
The highlight of Manse Pride Week is the Pride march and the main celebration on Saturday, 17 June. The Manse Pride human rights march will continue its multi-annual tradition in Tampere and will gather at Koskipuisto at 2.30 pm. The march will start around at 3 pm near the Pikku Kakkonen playground from the Scandic Hotel towards Rongankatu. The march will end in Sorsapuisto, where the main celebration of the week will be held. When the march reaches the park, the programme will begin with a greeting from Jari Kuisma, President of Sinuiksi ry. The main celebration will include an open mic session and music performances.
The theme of Pride week is “Being as humans together!” and the week will also include everyday acts of equality. For example, the City of Tampere, together with Sinuiksi ry, will organise a swimming pool shift for gender minorities as part of Manse Pride week on Monday, 12 June from 6 to 8.30 pm. Registration for the swim is possible through the Manse Pride programme.

The City of Tampere will celebrate the week by raising the Pride-flags of Tampere in front of the Tampere City Hall for the Manse Pride week on 12-17 June. Other actors in the city are also raising the flags for Pride week. In addition, the City of Tampere changes the light curtains on Hämeenkatu street to the colors of Pride flag.
