Changes in public transport and the opening hours of city services around Midsummer
Public transport, service and info points and health services
Tampere Regional Transport Nysse will serve you during Midsummer with special schedules. Check the schedules on the Nysse website in the service calendar or in the journey planner.
City agencies and service points, such as the Tampere service point and employment and growth services offices, will be closed over Midsummer between 23 and 25 June 2023. On the day before Midsummer Eve, 22 June, the employment and growth services offices will serve you normally except for the Pakkahuoneenaukio and Tullikatu offices, which will close at 14:00.

Libraries, culture and museums
On Thursday 22 June, libraries will be closed no later than 17:00. (or at their normal closing time, if it is earlier). Mobile libraries stop driving at 16:00. Libraries are closed on Midsummer Eve and Midsummer Day on 23 and 24 June, with the exception of self-service. Check the libraries’ opening hours on the libraries’ own pages.
Children’s Culture Centre Rulla is on a summer break and closed from 19 June to 11 August 2023. On Thursday 22 June, Kaleva Children’s Traffic Park will be open until 17:00 and Iso-Vilunen skatepark in Kaukajärvi until 19:00.
Youth Culture Centre Monitoimitalo 13 will be closed from 23 to 25 June. Youth centres are closed throughout the summer season and youth counsellors offer other summer activities.
Culture House Laikku will be closed from 23 to 25 June. Museums will close on Thursday 22 June at 16:00 and will be closed from 23 to 25 June.
Market Square and Summer Terrace Restaurants
Tammelantori, Laukontori and Hervannan tori market squares will be open on Midsummer Eve, 23 June, until 13:00.
Summer Terrace Restaurants will be closed from 23 to 25 June.
Outdoor pool, swimming halls and indoor sports facilities
Tampere outdoor pool will be open daily during Midsummer. On Midsummer Eve, Friday 23 June, the outdoor swimming pool will be open from 7:00 to 14:00., on Midsummer Day, 24 June from 13:00 to 20:00 and on Sunday 25 June from 10:00 to 18:00.
Swimming halls will be closed during Midsummer from 23 June to 25 June.
Indoor sports facilities, such as Kaukajärvi Leisure Centre, Nääshalli, Tesoma Sports Hall and the customer service of sports services will close on Thursday 22 June at 14:30. Hervanta Leisure Centre will be closed. All indoor sports facilities will be closed during Midsummer from 23 to 25 June. The indoor sports facilities of the Tampere stadium are closed completely during the summer because of different events.
