The Job Fair Tampere event fills the Tampere-talo on March 14th

The Job Fair Tampere on 14.03.2024 at 12–4 pm is a free event for all companies operating in Pirkanmaa, regardless of industry or size. The event provides a rare chance for employers to advertise especially those job openings that do not require excellent Finnish language skills. It also serves as an opportunity to meet with local talents at a low threshold and find suitable candidates for company needs. These events are open to all, regardless of their background.

- The Job Fair Tampere encourages interaction between companies in Pirkanmaa and international talents who are already residing in Finland. Our goal is to have a positive impact on the integration of internationals in the Tampere City Region by assisting them in finding job opportunities and providing them with information on employment, education, and entrepreneurship. At the same time, we hope to help employers overcome the skills shortage by connecting them with skilled professionals, describes Jani Tamminen, who has been organizing the event in the previous years.

Feedback has been collected from both employers and job seekers to further improve the event

The event is being organised for the fourth time and will build upon the success of the previous ones and even develop further. In addition to having stands at the event, employers also have the opportunity to interview job applicants on-site. Jobseekers can meet and network with company representatives, and take a professional photo for their CV. They can also participate in a Job Search Workshop and receive support and information on education and employment-related questions.

Employers are encouraged to sign up as soon as possible, no later than 29th of February 2024. There are limited places available, and they are filled in order of registration. After employers have registered for the event, International House Tampere advertises companies and their open jobs in event marketing to attract the right job seekers to the event.

The previous Job Fair Tampere was organised in October 2023. The event attracted about 1500 international job seekers from all over Finland to meet employers and representatives of organisations from Pirkanmaa. The goal is to make the Job Fair Tampere event a recurring concept held twice a year in Tampere.
