Women's Day panel discussion on femininity as a superpower

What is femininity as a superpower and how will the diversity of femininity be visible in Tampere in 2024? The City of Tampere is organising a panel discussion in Finnish on Women's Day on 8 March 2024 to embrace the vast diversity of women. The discussion is open to anyone interested in the topic.

The Tampere for All Women panel discussion will take place in the Lehmus Hall of the Metso Main Library on Friday 8.3.2024 from 15–17. Please note that the language of the panel is Finnish.

You can join the event either on the spot or participate online. Please register by 7.3.2024 at the latest. The event will follow the safer space policy.

The panel will be attended by:

  • Marja Civill, chairperson, Older people’s Council of City of Tampere
  • Nahir Eguilior, Social Worker, Tampere Emergency and Shelter Home
  • Kati Eloranta, Pastor, Social Responsibility, the Federation of Evangelical Lutheran Parishes in Tampere
  • Celina Kallio, Youth Officer, NGO for people with restricted growth (Lyhytkasvuiset ry)
  • Piia Huhtajärvi, NGO helping people who sell sexual services (Pro-tukipiste), outreach worker
  • Anna Vuorio, NGO working for women’s welfare (Naistenkartano), Executive Director

The panel will be moderated by Tanja von Knorring, Executive Director of Transfeminines association.

The event is part of the practical implementation of the City of Tampere's Equality and Non-Discrimination Plan.
