Highlights of digital development plans of Tampere now available in English
The City of Tampere has added an English section to its website, featuring key highlights from the city’s latest digital development plans. This section showcases examples of digital projects that the city has planned and initiated. It also offers access to the Humane digital transformation blog, providing insights into Tampere’s ongoing transformation.
The new section, titled "Digital development," has been available in Finnish since December 2023 and has now been translated into English. This section aims to give readers a concise overview of the digital development themes the city is currently focusing on and will continue to work on in the coming years.
Tampere invests in digital development
Each year, Tampere undertakes around 70 digital development projects. Preliminary estimates suggest that the city will invest approximately 48 million euros in digital development between 2025 and 2028. However, the City Council reviews and approves the budget, including allocations for digital development, on an annual basis.
The digital development themes are compiled in Tampere’s Digital Roadmap. This document provides a comprehensive overview of the current state and future goals of Tampere’s digitalisation initiatives. The Humane digital transformation blog has also been translated into English as part of the new digital development section.
