Early childhood education and care summer opening hours
The summer early childhood education and care service will be provided from 30 June to 3 August 2025. During the summer service, early childhood education and care will be provided in the centrally located units that are open during the summer service. Carers will be informed about summer holidays and care needs during the spring.

Early childhood education and care for pre-school children during the summer
The school year for pre-school education ends on 28 May 2025. Pre-school children will be covered by early childhood education services until 31 July 2025. During the summer, the child can attend early childhood education and care services as needed.
After the end of the pre-primary education period, the early childhood education services will continue as full-time early childhood education, for which a fee will be charged in accordance with the Early Childhood Education Customer Fee Act. Parents can change their needs via the eVaka online application for early childhood education and care. The early childhood education place must be terminated when the need ends. The place is terminated electronically in eVaka. It is also a good idea to contact the child's ECEC place.
The notification of summer holidays and care needs will be communicated to the guardians of pre-school children during the spring.
