Support for the child in early childhood education and in pre-primary education

The Early Childhood Education and Care Act regulates the provision of support within early childhood education and care. Within pre-primary education, support is provided under the auspices of the Basic Education Act. However, both Acts are ultimately governed by the same values and international agreements such as the United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child which Finland has committed to. Children have the right to receive the support they need and to be happy and well.
