Suolijärvi nature trail
The Suolijärvi nature trail in Hervanta currently runs in its entirety along the shoreline of the lake. The trail is about 4.5 km long, and many types of marsh and grove plants can be found along the route. In places, the Lake Suolijärvi landscape is powerfully shaped by steep cliffs and massive boulders.
The information boards on the Lake Suolijärvi nature trail were renewed in the summer of 2024. In addition to the main information board, there are 14 smaller information boards along the trail to help you learn about the area's diverse nature and species, as well as the themes of environmental change and nature conservation. It is a good idea to start the nature trail from the parking area at Suolijärvi beach, where you can also leave your car or bicycle. You can also get there by local buses, for example. From the Hervantakeskus tram stop, it is about 1.3 km to Suolijärvi beach.
