Youth events and water activity course
Youth services will organise a wide range of activities for 9–29-year-olds. A Star Wars event will be held at the Youth Culture Centre, where you can dive into the world of Star Wars through UV art and a comic workshop. In addition to Star Wars, vacationers can experience skateboarding and scootering, downhill skiing, handcrafts, gigs and much more fun stuff both indoors and outdoors.

The Tampere Swimming Centre offers an adventure on a Wibit activity course. On the course, you can test your balance and agility by climbing, crossing obstacles and sliding down a slide. The course is intended for children and adults who can swim. The water activity course is included in the swimming centre’s entrance fee.
Guided tours and workshops at Vapriikki and the Moomin Museum
Vapriikki will organise events during the winter holiday from 26 February to 3 March 2023 every day, also on Monday. The daily themes will introduce the visitor to the different exhibitions of Vapriikki. There will be amazing guided tours, workshops and other fun things! The programme is included in Vapriikki’s entrance fee.

The Moomin Museum celebrates brighter days, light and shadow by playing with shadows. During the winter holiday week, the museum will organise open tours every day it is open, at 11 in Finnish and at 13 in English. A guided nonstop workshop will be open all day in the atelier on the days the museum is open. Come to capture shadows and cut out silhouettes. Guided tours and workshops are included in the price of the entrance ticket.

A Muumit ja talven taika (English: Moomins and the Magic of Winter) exhibition featuring Tove Jansson’s original illustrations, organised as part of the Light Gallery projected on buildings in the Tampere city centre, will be on display until 12 March. You can see the light artwork every night after dark until 23.
Events in Rulla and libraries
The Children’s Culture Centre in Rulla will hold an exhibition called Miksi mörkö hymyilee? (English: Why is the bogeyman smiling?) from Wednesday 1 March to Sunday 5 March 2023. Come experience a puppet play based on fairytales and stories. On Thursday 2 March from 10 to 13, SuperSam’s fast-paced winter adventure will offer activities both outdoors and indoors. The Rulla art workshop is open during the opening hours of Rulla, Wed 12–18, Thu–Fri 9–14 and Sat–Sun 10–16.
Siina & Taikaradio Duo will perform in Hervanta Library on Saturday 25 February from 13:00 to 13:40. You can watch films in the Main Library Metso and Koilliskeskus, and Koilliskeskus will hold Researcher Pi’s science show on Saturday 4 March 2023 from 13:00 to 13:40.
Hiking, skiing and skating
It is also a good idea to spend time outdoors during the winter holiday and visit nearby nature sites if the weather permits.
