The Children's Independence Day Ball takes over the Tampere Hall's Sorsapuisto Hall

Finland's independence is celebrated on Friday 6th of December with the theme chosen by children "Be yourself". This year, the celebration will take place in two parts: 1 pm – 3 pm and 3 pm –5 pm. In addition to dancing, you can enjoy live music, art workshops, fun activity points and a party atmosphere.

Veera Degerholm, known from Pikku Kakkonen, with Iida and Sade of the Children's Parliament will be hosting the party. The event will be opened by Deputy Mayor Matti Helimo. DJ Sara-Maaria will be playing best music mix for the dance floor Naattiorkesteri band will take the listeners on a captivating musical journey. The program also includes wonderful dance performances by Tanssistudio Tanssittava’s students and dance lessons for the audience.

In addition to the stage program, at the event you can design your own badge at Rulla's art workshop, try fishing game at the activity point of Children's Parliament, take Know Yourself test or fill out a task bingo. There is also Taikahile’s glitter point and Lasten Tampere ry. The youth services of Tampere are in charge of the cafe.

The program contents are the same in both parts. Doors open to the public in 15 min before the start of the event. The event is suitable for the whole family, especially for 4-12 year olds. You can dress as festive but each guest can come exactly as they want.

The event is organised by City of Tampere Public Cultural Services, Tampere Hall and Children's Parliament of Youth Services .
