Many route changes for the Nysse summer season

The Nysse summer season starts on Monday 3 June and ends on Sunday 4 August 2024. The timetables change, and there will also be a considerable number of route changes.

The route changes take into account the significant increase in passenger numbers. At the same time, we are preparing for the expansion of the tram network in the west. The new lines will also improve connections between regional centres in other areas.

Routes change on many lines, and line numbers change in many areas. The aim has been to redesign the numbering of the lines so that they are logical and make it easier to use the network.

Summer changes in brief

The terminals of the tram lines will be changed:

  • Line 1 Kaupin kampus/Tays - Keskustori - Santalahti
  • Line 3 Hervanta - Hakametsä - Sorin aukio

Changes to bus lines:

  • New or renewed lines: 4, 6, 7, 11, 13, 14, 15, 18, 22, 26, 28, 29, 34, 40B, 41, 42, 45, 52, 71, 74, 80, 81, 82, 84 ja 95.
  • Lines to be discontinued: 7Y, 14, 40D, 58, 70Y, 84A.
  • Lines 37, 39, 44, 46, 47, 48 (Sahalahti - Pohja), 49, 72, 77, 78 and 86 are on summer break.

Bus lines 2, 5, 8, 9, 10, 12, 16, 17, 19, 27, 30, 31, 33, 35, 36, 38, 40A, 40C, 50, 55, 73, 79, 90, 91, 92, 93, 94 and 95KUTSU will remain unchanged during the summer season.

The changeover of bus stop data will start well in advance

Line changes also mean work for bus stop maintenance. The changeover of bus stop signs and bus and timetable information will start as early as mid-May. With so many changes as the season changes, the work is expected to take a couple of weeks.

This means that already in May, stops can display information for the winter season, which ends on 2 June, or for the summer season, which starts on 3 June.

For example, there are almost 2 000 bus stop signs to be changed throughout the region. New information posters will also be replaced at bus stop shelters.

How to find the information you need

Route changes and information have been listed on the Nysse website. You can check the lines in your area, for example on the map service

The new route list is also available in the Nysse journey planner, where you can search for routes by changing the search date to 3 June 2024 at the earliest. The journey planner shows you, for example, the connections and timetables for the route you want to use.

Timetables can be found in the journey planner and on the Nysse timetable service.
