The Contest for New Music UMK returns to Tampere in February 2025
Tampere once again invites everyone to celebrate the joy of music and to participate in the UMK atmosphere in various ways.
“We are thrilled to welcome UMK back to Tampere. It’s wonderful to host an event that brings joy and positivity to our city while embodying Tampere’s values,” says Saara Saarteinen, Event Manager for the City of Tampere.
As last spring, UMK will be visible on the streets of Tampere with its familiar pink colours and diverse side events. The city is again encouraging the whole city community to organise a varied programme of UMK-themed side events for the week.
More detailed plans and instructions for adding events will be published later on the City of Tampere website and social media channels. The side events will be brought together on the Visit Tampere’s website.
“Last February, we celebrated with the entire city community’s support. We hope everyone will join us again to create an unforgettable UMK atmosphere for the people of Tampere and visiting fans. I look forward to working with others to bring this fantastic event to life,” adds Saarteinen.
