City bike season ends with record results - renewed service receives praise from users
Increased number of journeys and users
Around 225 000 journeys were made on city bikes during the season, more than 1.5 times the number of journeys made in the previous season. Around 11 000 individual season tickets were sold, of which a quarter were for the whole season and half for a day. The total number of concessions sold was 30% higher than in 2023.
Results of the user survey
The city bike user survey was carried out between 7 and 20 October 2024. 367 people responded to the survey, 76% of whom had purchased a right of use in 2024.
The city bike service was rated highly in all areas. Respondents were most satisfied with the fairness and clarity of the user charges (95-96% of respondents). Around 80% of respondents found the service easy and smooth to use and would recommend it to friends.
Several improvements were made to the system before the start of the season, based on feedback received in the past, which has improved the user experience. Compared to previous seasons, respondents reported significant improvements in particular in the deployment and return of city bikes and the overall usability of the application.
City bikes are stored for the winter
During the winter, city bikes are collected from the stations, serviced and stored. Some of the stations are left in place, while some of the fixed structures are dismantled and moved to winter storage. The city bike customer service will be closed and the city bike stations will disappear from the Nysse journey planner.
The next city bike season will start on 15 April 2025.
