Enrolment for the 2025 summer free period in early childhood education and care
In Tampere municipal early childhood education, families have the opportunity to choose eight free weeks of absence for the summer will receive June and July free of charge. The eight consecutive weeks of absence can be taken between 2 June and 24 August 2025.
The free period requires that the child has started early childhood education before September 1, 2024, and has attended every month of the year.
Binding enrolments for the 8-week free period will be made in eVaka from 9 April to 22 April 2025, after which it will no longer be possible to make or change enrolments.

The questionnaire can be found under the Calendar tab, behind the Holiday Questionnaire button. Select the 8-week free period you wish to take and press Confirm button.
If the guardians do not have possibility to log in to the eVaka online service, they can register their child for the free 8-week period using the attached pdf form. The form must be returned to the child's early childhood education centre by 22 April 2025 at the latest.
For a child starting in the pre-primary school in the fall of 2025, the early childhood education place preschool can be terminated in the summer when the need ends. This will also end the early childhood education fee. Preschool education and supplementary early childhood education will begin in August. It is also possible to choose an 8-week free absence period for the future preschooler. If the period ends after preschool education has already started, the child will only participate in preschool education. The free period applies to the customer fee for June and July. The fee for August will be charged normally.
Option for families whose child has started on or after 1 September 2024:
Families whose child has started on or after 1 September 2024 have the option to opt for a free July if their child does not attend early childhood education on any day during July. Binding enrolments are made between 9 April and 22 April 2025 using the separate e-Form below.
