Get excited about different activities and sports together as a family!

Children can exercise together with adults. They go around trying out different activities and equipment. In addition to sport-specific skills, they also practise other general physical activity skills. The instruction is intended for children aged from 3 to 5 and their families. You can also join in with an older child.

Perhetemppu is an enjoyable free exercise class for under school-age children and their guardians. Suitable activities are offered in a relaxed atmosphere for everyone from babies to pre-schoolers as adults activate their children, taking into account the child’s level and how they are feeling on the day! This way, a baby and a 5-year-old can be kept active at the same time. The instructor leads games and offers tips and variations of activities for different age groups. The class offers obstacle courses, introductions to sports equipment, and rhyming and musical games. 

Note! You can also come with a grandparent or a family daycare worker. Sign up in the registration system.

Vanhempi-lapsi -tanssi - Parent-child dance for 3-5 year olds. Directed by Dance Daily

For children aged 3–5 together with a parent. Enjoy moving together and the basics of dance! You can also come with a hobby referral. 7 meetings. Register for the course in the registration system.

Äiti-vauva -pilates - Mother-baby-pilates. Directed by Studio Balance

Parent-baby classes are a wonderful joint exercise moment for a parent and a baby under one year old (approx. 2–12 months). The main focus of the course is the well-being of the parent, for example the mother's safe recovery from pregnancy and childbirth. With the right kind of exercise, it is possible to alleviate or prevent dysfunction of the pelvic floor and speed up the recovery of DRA. You can also come with a hobby referral. 7 meetings.

The child moves in the class together with an adult. We go around activity points and try different tools. In addition to sports skills, other general exercise skills are practiced. The activity is aimed at 3-5 year olds and their families. You can also come with an older child.

"Magical Movement" class is a nice exercise moment shared by a child under school age and a guardian. Shared games, e.g. inspired by fairy tales and music, trick courses, learning about exercise equipment and relaxing with a play umbrella. Duration about 45 min.

Family exercise invites you to autumn nature and lean-tos

The popular family sport events "Get to know the lean-tos" start in September. Take your time and enjoy the peace and quiet of nature and the autumn atmosphere with the whole family. There's a chance to grill sausages, so pack your own picnic lunch. It's easy to walk to the lean-tos, even for the youngest members of the family, so the journey won't be too long. Make sure you dress warmly for the weather.

The autumn 2025 forest trips will be announced closer to the date.

Family skating gives children and their parents the chance to learn the basics of skating through fun games and activities. The courses are primarily aimed at children aged 3-7 and their parents.

The skating courses take place at the artificial ice rinks in Sorsapuisto and Ahvenisjärvi, and each course has four sessions.

Participants must have their own skates and helmet. Classes will be held according to the condition of the ice, and any cancellations will be notified either by email or message. You can register for the courses at liikkumaan.tampere.fi.

Take a journey into the world of mermaids! During the winter holiday week from 25 to 28 February, children and young people can try mermaid swimming at all Tampere swimming pools. Groups are available for 4-15-year-olds and instruction is provided by Kalypso Vesitanssikoulu.

There is an entrance fee for the swimming pool.
