Conversion pool
The former children's pool is now a "conversion pool" with a lowering and raising feature. The depth of the pool can be adjusted between 90 and 180 centimetres by adjusting the height of the bottom, depending on the user. The depth is set according to the situation, for example, 90 cm during children's swimming lessons and 130 cm during aqua gym classes. During school swimming lessons, the depth varies depending on the class. The conversion pool is only available to groups at specified times. During instruction sessions, children with no swimming skills can only use the paddling pool.
Gym
On the 1st and 3rd floors, clients are served by a gym and a sports hall. The changing rooms and washrooms for gym visitors are located on the 1st floor of the hall.

What do I need to know about using the swimming pool?

History
Pyynikki Swimming Pool has long traditions as it was one of the first covered swimming pools in Finland. It was opened in 1956, and since then it has been renovated several times over the years. Pyynikki Swimming Pool is a site protected by the Finnish Heritage Agency, which is why its traditions were respected in the renovation.
