During the summer season, the Outdoor Express operates on weekends, transporting hikers by bus from the city center to the national parks of Seitseminen, Helvetinjärvi, and Isojärvi. There, you have a few hours to explore the trails and scenery of the national parks, but if you wish, you can also pack a tent and return on the next day's bus.

The Lakes Routes website compiles a variety of cycling routes of different levels and lengths from Tampere and the surrounding areas. Using the site's route planner, cyclists can search for route suggestions based on the trip length or choose a route based on whether they prefer cycling on asphalt or gravel roads. The selection includes scenic routes around lakes and country roads, for example.
The Bike & Boat service combines cycling and boat travel, offering cyclists a new way to experience the lake scenery between cycling routes.
