Tampere City Youth Services will visit different parts of the city on 10 September
The aim of the day is to broadly promote the activities of Youth Services as well as the facilities for hobbies and activities in the city.
– The goal is to increase the visibility of services intended for young people, especially in areas where services have been less available, and to spread information about the services provided by Youth Services to young people, their parents, and other partners, says Youth Service Manager Päivi Niskanen.
During the marketing day, Youth Services will present themselves in over twenty educational institutions, youth centres, shopping centres, and the main library Metso.
As part of the marketing day, a survey will be carried out in schools to find out what young people want in terms of activities. Schools will be visited by 2–3 employees in the morning, and in the afternoon, they will move to other locations. Youth centres will also host an open house day for parents of young people on the same Tuesday. Youth culture centre Monitoimitalo 13 will have open doors for everyone from 2 pm to 6 pm.
Youth Services offers young people a diverse range of free activities and facilities throughout the city. Educational guidance for young people is an essential part of a youth leader's job.
