Over 120 courses will begin at the Adult Education Centre during the rest of the autumn

The autumn semester at The Adult Education Centre of the Tampere Region is underway, but over 120 courses will still start during the season in theoretical subjects, languages, arts, crafts, and health promotion. The Adult Education Centre will also organize general lectures until the beginning of December, when registration for the spring semester begins.

Registration for the autumn season at The Adult Education Centre of the Tampere Region is possible as long as courses are available. Most of the upcoming courses still have spots open, but it is advisable to register soon to ensure the course starts. Those on the waiting list will be notified personally if a spot becomes available.

During the autumn, the health promotion field offers solo Latin dance, body maintenance and stretching, XXL dance, and courses for families such as adult and child floorball and yoga.

In crafts, you can sew organizers, felt, learn sharpening, make soap, and create earrings from birch plywood and old spoons. In the arts, there are marathon days with live models, night photography, Christmas card crafting, color theory, and paper collages.

The late autumn language selection includes English conversation courses, travel Italian, and Chinese. In theoretical subjects, you can deepen your skills by studying the basics of game design, service design in the digital age, graphic design, word processing, accounting, and investing.

The Adult Education Centre’s general lectures are free of charge and held in the Sampola auditorium in Tampere. The photography-themed “Masters Behind the Camera” lecture series runs until November 5, 2024, the “Aiming for Joy” series focusing on themes of joy and hope runs until November 21, 2024, and the “Everyone Wants to Live” series runs until December 4, 2024. The lectures are taught in Finnish.

The spring 2025 courses will be published on the registration website in mid-November. Registration for spring courses begins online on Wednesday, December 4, 2024, at 12:00 PM. You can register by phone and in person at the offices in Tampere and Ylöjärvi starting from Wednesday, January 2, 2025, at 12:00 PM.
