Kaukajärvi Winter Day celebrates the 60th anniversary of the neighbourhood

Kaukajärvi turns 60! We celebrate the birthday of Tampere's oldest neighbourhood with the traditional Winter Day on Sunday 16.2. from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. The Winter Day is a winter event for the whole family at Haihara Manor, the Stables and the courtyard area.
Hiiri Hätä Houtu is looking out of window..
Hiiri Hätä Houtu performance will be seen at Winter Day twice.

The birthday celebrations include a speech by Pekka Salmi, Director of the Vitality Service Area, and the rebuilding of the neighbourhood's foundation stone with an ice brick. You can bring a can of milk that has been frozen beforehand (water and watercolour if you want colour). You can use the ice brick as part of a collaborative artwork.

There will also be free performances, music and indoor and outdoor activities. Outside, there will be a snowmobile ride for a fee (€2) and curling on the ice. There is a café in the Manor. Outside, pea soup, grilled sausages and campfire pancakes are for sale. To celebrate the birthday, the Kaukajärviseura's book "Fascinating Kaukajärvi" will be published.
