The summer season ends with the free Haihara Jytää! mini-festival

Music and refreshments are the bridge between people on summer evenings.
Two groups of bands.
Pekko Käppi & K:H:H:L and Oskari Salama duo are performing at Haihara Jytää!

Haihara’s summer has been full of popular and free weekly Park Concerts. Various ensembles have performed in Valjasvaja while the audience enjoyed refreshments, sunshine, and above all, music in front of the Coffee Chamber. Now that the Park Concerts have wrapped up for the summer in Haihara, the Haihara Jytää! mini-festival will conclude the summer outdoor concerts on Saturday, August 31st, from 5 PM to 7 PM.

Evening program:

5:00 PM Oskari Salama Duo The Oskari Salama Duo performs acoustic and summery pop-rock in Finnish, featuring two guitar and vocalists from Tampere.

6:00 PM Pekko Käppi & K:H:H:L Pekko Käppi & K:H:H:L is a Tampere-based quartet, currently the hottest and loudest in Finland’s folk rock scene. The band was formed after the release of Pekko Käppi’s album ‘Rammat jumalat’ in 2013. Since then, they have made five albums, received praise, and toured the world. Live, their sound easily becomes hypnotic, as the light and breezy atmospheres and effortlessly swaying folk music transform into a fiercely repetitive rock sermon, like a dog chasing its own tail.

Concert refreshments can be purchased from Haihara’s Coffee Chamber, which is open until 7 PM. Exhibitions are open from 12 PM to 6 PM. The area also hosts many other activities and events during the summer.

Haihara Art Center’s address is Haiharankatu 30. Bus line 10’s terminal stop is right next to it.

The event is produced by the City of Tampere’s Urban Culture Unit.
