Please give the city feedback on your own neighbourhood, the city centre, or another area of your choice. On a scale of 1 to 5, evaluate the upkeep of parks and roads, including the sufficiency of waste bins and their regular emptying. You can also give free-form feedback. Filling the survey takes a few minutes.
More meadows and wild flowers can now be seen in the green areas
The city’s public areas are maintained by Tampere Infra, assisted by private contractors.
– During the summer season, our work in parks and green areas focuses on taking care of plants, cutting grass, maintaining tidiness and comfort, and managing playgrounds. We also strive to keep the street and market areas clean and litter-free during the summer season. Trees are managed in both street and green areas, says Site Engineer Antti Sorvali from Tampere Infra.
– The importance of nature’s diversity and its conservation cannot be overstated. Therefore, some green areas have been allowed to grow more meadow-like and flowers have been allowed to bloom for pollinators, Antti Sorvali adds.
Property owners remove rubbish from the street area next to their own plot
The city is not responsible for all maintenance tasks. Holders of private properties are required to clean up trash from the street area that borders their own land. Moreover, the covers of stormwater wells need to be cleared of any debris.
Residents can give feedback year-round at the Tampere service point, and report faults using a map-based feedback system. You can also report a fault using the Tampere Finland app available on your phone’s app store.
