Kaukajärvi and Annala are celebrating Halloween for two weeks with the whole neighbourhood - all interested are welcome

The Kaukajärvi and Annala areas will celebrate Halloween for two weeks from 24.10.-10.11.2024 with the whole district. The event will be an inclusive and interactive experience for all lovers of gentle horror.

The Halloween event package has been organised in Kangasala and Aitoo in previous years - now it's Tampere's turn!

The Halloween event includes residents´ spooky gardens, a decorated playground, a whole family event in the playground and a Haihara Halloween party at the Haihara arts centre.

The playground in Isolammi park turns into a children's theme park

The playground in Isolammenpuisto near the Kaukajärvi Leisure Centre is getting a Halloween-themed makeover. The theme park will be open for free play from 24 October to 6 November, and the whole family Halloween event will take place on 27 October from 6 to 8 P. Wear a costume and join the music and play show with PelleKapteeni!

Residents' spooky gardens: decorate your own garden or come and see other people's creations

Come and spend the darkest time of the year admiring decorated spooky gardens from 27 October to 10 November. A mobile map makes it easy to navigate from one place to another!

The spooky gardens will be announced on 27 October on SirkusRakkaus PumPum ry's social media: on Facebook and Instagram: @sirkusrakkauspumpum

To decorate the spooky gardens, Halloween-themed requisite will be loaned free of charge to single-family, semi-detached, townhouse and semi-detached home owners. Requisite has to be placed on the property so that no one has to step into private property to see the decorations. The requisite has been donated to the event by the Särkänniemi Karmiva carnival to support the families' community art activities, but Särkänniemi is not an official partner of the event.

You can also put gardens decorated entirely with your own decorations on the map by visiting the Haihara Art Centre during the requisite distribution times.

You can pick up your requisites in the park area of the Haihara Art Centre, by the small red Pakari building, at the following times:

Pick-up: Wed-Thu 23-24 Oct from 6 to 8 PM.
Return: Mon-Tues 11-12 Nov from 6 to 8 PM.

Haihara Halloween

The two-week event will end with a Halloween party for the whole family at the Haihara Arts Centre on Saturday 9. November from 3 to 6 PM. There will be two parties with the same content from 3-4:30 PM. and 4:30-6 PM, so that as many people as possible can join in. The free indoor event will feature Halloween-themed activities and a café organised by the Kaukajärvi Lions.

The number of participants is limited by the capacity of the Arts Centre.

Kaukajärvi and Annala Neighbourhood Programme and the Tampere´s Urban Culture Unit as facilitators of the Halloween event package

The Halloween event is one of the actions of the Kaukajärvi and Annala district programme and is implemented by SirkusRakkausPumPum ry. The Neighbourhood Programme will be ongoing in the area between 2023 and 2025 and will promote the vision of "Live like in a small town", created with the residents and stakeholders of the area, for the future of the area. The vision is for a vibrant, community-based and natural neighbourhood.
