The summer season brings changes to the opening hours of services and public transport timetables. You can find the opening times for summer via the links on this page on the services' own websites.

Social and health services
Social and health services are provided by the wellbeing services county of Pirkanmaa.

Public transport
The summer season starts on Monday, June 3, 2024 and will remain under the summer break until 4 August 2024.
In the summer, you should also try city bikes. See Nysse's website for more information.

Tampere Water: Water distribution and sewage system.
Tampereen Energia: Distribution of electricity, district heating and natural gas.
Libraries
Check the opening hours and events of all Tampere libraries on their websites.
Markets
Tammelantori night market: Stalls are allowed to stay open until 10 pm. On Wednesdays at 6 pm there is a guided exercise class and a free flea market from 4 pm. Tammelantori market is open:
- Mon-Sat 6 a.m. – 10 p.m.
- Flea market We 4 pm - 10 pm.
Laukontori is open:
- Mon-Fri at 6 a.m. – 8 p.m.
- Sat at 6 a.m. – 6 p.m.
Hervanta market is open:
- Tue and Fri at 8 a.m. – 4 p.m.

Outdoor activities and nature
Park meals
The city of Tampere's popular park meal will continue in the summer 2024. This year, the park meal events will take place from 3.6.–18.7.2024 in Hervanta, Kaukajärvi, Lielahti, Peltolammi, Tesoma and Nekala.
Swimming pools, outdoor swimming pool and beaches
Tip! The outdoor pool is open daily, also during the Midsummer period.
Sports and exercise
