Baby and family days at Tampere city museums

The museums in Tampere offer enjoyable moments for children and adults alike, through art and history.

Tampere Art Museum

The Tampere Art Museum has baby days about once a month. During the day, there is a short guided tour designed for babies and toddlers.

Family days are organized twice a year, in spring and autumn. The day's program is planned separately for each exhibition. The program takes into account both younger and older children in the family.

For older children and adults, the museum has a self-guided workshop space. The workshop is open whenever the museum is open. The themes and working methods of the workshop vary, but they are always related to the current exhibition.

The program of all event days is included in the admission fee.

The baby care room is located in the basement of the museum. If you want to heat food for your baby, please contact the staff.

Adult's entry fee 4 € all day with a child under three years old. Children under 7 years old are always free.

Saturday 12 April 2025 

• At 11 am Baby- and toddler-paced guided tour.
• At 1 pm Salvador Dalí -drama tour, suitable for the whole family.
• At 2 pm Salvador Dalí -drama tour, suitable for the whole family.
• At 3 pm What is surrealism? How is an exhibition built? Family-themed guided tour: Surrealism - Stories Behind the Scenes.

Adults accompanied by someone under 18 and children aged 7-17: 4 € all day. Children under 7 years old are always free.

Adult admission 5 € with a child under three years old for the whole day (one adult per child). Children under 7 years old are always free.

The family morning theme exhibition is open from 9-10 am (doors open at 8:45 am), allowing families to explore the exhibition in peace before the museum opens. Vapriikki opens to everyone at 10 am. On family mornings, children under 7 years old can enter the museum for free, and everyone over 7 years old for only 2 €! The ticket offer is valid only for the family morning theme exhibition from 9-10 am. Ticket sales end at 9:45 am. (Not for groups!) The program is included in the admission fee. The museum shop is open from 9 am onwards.
