Vuores library will exceptionally have staffed opening hours on Sunday 24 May from 1 to 4 pm due to Vuores Day.
The Vuores Library is located in Vuores House. The building also hosts a school, daycare centre, maternity and child health clinic, dental clinic, and youth services. The library is situated on the first floor of the building and is accessible via the main entrance. Vuores House is a shoe-free zone, so please leave your outdoor shoes in the lobby. You may leave strollers in the designated parking area or use protective covers.
The library offers computers and a multifunction device for printing, copying, and scanning.
Vuores Library operates as a self-service library. Both the external door of Vuores House and the internal door to the library can be opened with a library card and its four-digit PIN code.
The library does not have regular staff present but you can pick up reservations, and use the self-service machines to loan and return your material. You can also read newspapers, study or work, and use your computer and printer in the library.
You can only use the Vuores library during self-service hours if you are registered as a self-service library customer. With a single registration, you can use all of Tampere’s self-service libraries.
