Return box open 24 hours a day. The box is emptied during service hours. When the library is closed, items left to the return box will be processed as returned on the next service opening day.
Visiting with dogs: short visits with a well-behaved dog are allowed. The owner must ensure that the dog does not have contact with other customers.

A wheelchair can pass through the vestibule, but there is not enough space to turn around.
The doors connected to the entrance stand out clearly and the glass doors have contrast markings. Outside the door there is sufficient room for moving e.g. with a wheelchair. The door is heavy or otherwise hard to open.

The Terälahti Library is Tampere's oldest local library. The library is located at the Terälahti School. The library has a computer for customer use. You also have access to the wireless network Seutu Wireless.

Self-service library open from morning to evening

Terälahti Library is a self-service library that you can also use outside regular opening hours. During broad self-service opening hours, you can open the doors of the library with a PIKI library card and its ID number.

There are no staff at the library during self-service hours. During self-service hours, you can pick up reservations, borrow and return items using the self-service machines, use a computer, read magazines, and even work or hold meetings in the library.

You can only use the Terälahti library during self-service hours if you are registered as a self-service library customer. With a single registration, you can use all of Tampere’s self-service libraries.
